It certainly attracted his notice, and I was forced to make a life decision. She was far more attractive than the abbot anyway.

My monastery was named Glastonbury after the famous abbey in Merrie Olde Englande. We even received a cutting of the Glastonbury thorn tree to plant on our grounds.

These days, if you mention Glastonbury they think of the music festival. O tempora, o mores!

Cicero was right. Such names used to evoke a much different image. It's my belief that the human race is in decline and on track for a soon to come extinction. Some call it pessimism, but I call it realism.
