Since I put the clothes through the rinse cycle, I don't think so.

If anything it's probably toothpaste.  At other times it may be yardwork - soil, leaves, grass, pollen - motor or bike chain oil, Thai food, coffee, chocolate milk, fries, someone's dog, or fresh perspiration.  It's never come up.


This reminds me of the time my kid sarcastically asked me why my tennis shoes were green.  Because every evening I'm on the freshly mown field throwing you a football, hitting flies and grounders, throwing the Frisbee around, or kicking the soccer ball back and forth.  Why are my shoes green.  Yeah I should watch that.

Until Calculus homework hits.  It just wasn't an evening unless little WAN had tears and I turned into Sammy.  "You mixed up variables with constants.  Again!  Simplify first dammit.  Use the chain rule for crissakes.   U best un-ass yourself or when you get to triple integrals yer head is gonna explode like that dude in Scanners".

Addendum.  Little WAN got through High School math just fine, went to the same Engineering school I did, got the same degree I did with a higher GPA and is every respect a superior code jockey that I ever was, is or will be,.  It was tough there for her but she really did great eventually and whomped me.  Then again, all that was ever really hoped for me was working afternoons in The Rouge, making sure that I hung the red tailgate on the red  F-150 and the blue tailgate on the blue F-350.

I was pondering this over the weekend. I’ve been reading a lot of Tudor & Roman history and historical fiction this year and I suppose that combined with what is happening in Iran-

Throughout history there is ALWAYS a group of people in charge of war. Even if any given group is not actively at war, there’s still people that’s entire JOB is preparing for war, implementing war, and extracting soldiers.

Like, WTH? What does this say about our species? Why are we like this?
