Things that Bring You Joy.
« on: October 06, 2018, 12:49:09 AM »
The theme from The Spy Who Loved Me. (my wedding song)

Great lawns, flowers and gardens that make me smile.

Punching leather bags filled with air at a very rapid pace :-\ ;D

Sunday dinners that take hours to prep and cook with great music and conversation.

And things like this;

I like your list. I find your specificity of HTML 4.1 interesting. I'm actually wanting to bring back and remodel an old site written in 3.2!

1. Sitting in the air conditioning and marveling at the range of Dyna-X’s interests.
2. Sitting outside at my favorite breakfast restaurant and having Martin, the resident black cat, hop into my lap for a petting.
3. Realizing that my valve fingers are correctly going up and down without me having to consciously think of the notes.

I relized I made a typo and actually meant 4.01. Practical code is useful, I still use it for making catalogs and databases. Dynamic but lite with no bloat. Also no excessive cell-padding. Sovereign and independent of corporate networking crutches (Plugins like Twitster, Fakebook, Gangstergram, Linkdick, NarcissistTube). Have CSS and some window dressing, but most importantly the content can speak for itself without having to rely on phony clicks and totally weird "Likes" that mean nothing. Kind of like how websites were before the internet turned into a highschool-level recognition contest with wordpress sites filled with other people's re-uploaded/shared media and a ton of hot air which looks like a dumpster fire that scrolls, and scrolls, and scrolls on and on for days.

peaches, esp tree fresh peaches, cause store bought peaches taste like cardboard or worse, as a rule.
peaches are the best thing in life.

I don't believe "happiness" is a real thing; paradoxically, this is my list:

When my baby says she's happy +1000

Making small differences for people

Listening to music at volume 15

This thread doesn't exactly make me happy...but it is a good one. Thanks

Your cat keeps looking at me. Hope she is not hungry. I don’t have any meow mix.

Agreed. Before I built a six ft privacy fence around my entire city lot all the flowers, green grass and lawn ornaments were visible to anybody walking by the house. Always liked it when little old ladies (and men) would stop to tell us how we've outdone ourselves again with the yard.  That's the only regret I have about the tall fence..

Witnessing any semblance of decency, or reciprocation of common courtesy makes me happy.
