I'm bored but I'm always a little curious.

What is the best advice Mom/Dad/Best Friend gave you that you never followed?...

Mine was 'stay off the internet'.

They say you should never marry for money, but that if you hang out at the right places, love will take care of that.
Unfortunately, I was never able to get into the right places.

I will start. I don't know how many times my mom told me when I was a teenager, "It's just as easy to fall in love with with a rich man as it is with a poor man".

Hah! How different my life could have been. Maybe not better but way different

I never received any advice because I was always in the perpetual state of "YOU WAIT TIL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME!". Oh the pearls of wisdom never to be heard let alone realized. Advice in the form of admonishment.

As far as marrying a rich man goes you would have been better to marry a poor man that would become rich. Your chances are much better that way unless your plan is to take the fucker for all he's worth so in which case marry the rich guy.

For some reason, I just recently came across "Play Misty for Me".

And I realized how different my life could have been if I had only seen that decades ago.

Boy I wish you would elaborate on that. @Smokin Hot Bob It's a great movie but how...     ?

Yeah. I went to college. Got a good job in aerospace. Became the person my mom wanted me to marry. But that's as far as I took that advice

Aww. Somehow I doubt that. I bet you could get in just on charm even if you didn't have enough for cover charge

Couple of things my Dad said to me in High School come to mind.

I pitched in High School.  I wasn't bad but I wasn't all that good either.  Dad [and Coach O. for that matter] wanted me to fulcrum off my plant foot, come over the top more and tighten up my delivery.  It just didn't feel right.  I was a dig and driver like Seaver.  If I would have listened to them I would have been able to increase velocity and maybe, just maybe got to go the college for free.

Dad also told me to never pass up a good thing over breast size.  In High School there was a very nice girl that liked me.  Cute and sweet as could be but she had like...no breasts.  So I dated another girl who had breasts but was kind of a wench.  She caused me some heartbreak for sure.

But you got to tittyfuck her.
You can't tittyfuck a breastless girl.
I bet she even let you do the blowie / tittyfuck combo.
Tittyfuck.

US appeals court declares 158-year-old home distilling ban unconstitutional

Lol, The Spousal Unit and I were just talking about this. McNutt’s doing the goddess’s work on this one.
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.
