If I use a song then the YouTube filters identify it and let you know the status.
Some songs are blocked worldwide while the majority allow you to use them.
You can't monetize the video and YouTube automatically assigns monetization to the rights holders.
This new law requires YouTube to now do this on uploads... so if a song is blocked worldwide then the upload will be blocked.
I would imagine that will only be applicable to uploads occurring in EU and, for the rest of the world, our uploads would just be blocked in the EU.
Nothing changes on my end.
