i guess but here most people only seem to care about Heather Wade and that other crazy guy and the politics is all far right ring and i would be ate alive even here if i posted how i feel about these things. little interest in art and music threads, etc . so not happy

It will be interesting to see what Bellgab's next iteration is. Interest in Heather's mental illness has a shelf life, and I think MV knows that.

That is true.  I have noticed the Heather thread even slowing down a little around here.  Bart will have the "Dave thread."  It is, in some ways, a fan site.  MV is probably out of luck as those wanting dialogue abut DS will (probably) always call EG home.

I really don't know what the future of BG will be.  I have seen great forums shrivel and die.  Even when there are excellent posters- if there is not enough new material each day to make it a "must visit" site, it can dry up.  I hope both boards continue...

this forum has only been here since july. so just 92 days. not enough time to attract others who might post in the other sections of this forum.
i dont think bellgab will flourish at all. when you pull stuff like that it might take years to rebuild trust of the users, and without Art Bell to drive it, it probably wont recover. i could be wrong though.

What is there to trust?  There is another place to discuss what crosses your mind.  One has a little more moderation and a more "kind" feel (well- so long as you toe the line.)  The other has always had a little of a "free for all" feel- where you could get run over no matter which line you were near.

I understand what you are saying.  I don't really think that BG will "flourish."  I hope I'm wrong.  I hope that it picks up where it left off.  I wasn't upset when Bell vanished (any of the times.)  He provided entertainment- and I kept going back every time he started anew.  Sort of the same with BG and Liberace.  He provided one of the most entertaining places on the internet that attracted some intelligent (and not so intelligent) people.  I had no real expectations of Art.  I have no expectations of MV.  I have no expectations of BE.  Whatever the future brings, I will enjoy my time and try to not to be bitter when the ride ends.
