Oddly, I got my hands on Heather's "official" archive version...tried the same process...couldn't hear the male voice at all. Like it was scrubbed from the recording somehow. No proof, though, but he IS the one who mentions Vara.

I'm dealing with a very old version of GoldWave at my station. But if anyone else wants to take the audio from what HB was sharing and give it a shot, I recommend doing that. Heather's official archive version is better quality but appears to have the male deputy's voice scrubbed.
