We might need to vote.

Is it creamed corn or applesauce?

Sharp eyes!  If it is applesauce, it is chunky.

Probably neither. Almost looks like a creamed vegetable medley or something. There is not much of it, its basically in a monkey dish.

I have seen that setting quite a bit.  I think it is borrowed from the kind of restaurants that bundle everything.
But for Thanksgiving one would think to set the table properly?  For some reason the scene in which Steven Martin is playing the imbecilic brother of Michael Caine in some movie comes to mind (he had to have a wine cork on his fork so he didn't injure himself,

Warmed-up frijoles left over from last night?  I only put creamed corn because I have an uncle (not by blood, thank God) who insists on it for his mashed potatoes.

barley soup?
That might be a good guess based purely on appearance. But no soup bowls, maybe an alternative the the other gravy.

Ha. Uri could have a lot of fun at restaurants and with caterers, bending utensils etc.

There is also the small black bowl at the tail end of the duck which, assuming it was takeout, I allotted for the sauce.  It is a very saucy Thanksgiving.

I think we can assume she doesn't own one.  Shocking how some people live!

I haven't laughed this hard in weeks. I'm still intermittently chuckling about the Charles Dickens line.
