we did 128k last night, only cause i didnt change it down. i use 128k for SNT, as 128k is the minimum .mp3 format that is acceptable for a music oriented show.for a talk show with just bumpers 64k would be fine.
.there are others codecs (.aac for example) that can go to a much lower bitrate and still sound good, but .mp3 is ubiquitous and well supported by everything. the others, not so much.

So it’s not completely at an unacceptable level, but it might explain why the LNM servers were/are choking a bit? I did notice the other night that Vara’s show was unaffected by the drop outs, but as soon as Heater’s show came on it started to drop...

Almost begs for a "Things you would understand only if you are a regular Ellgabber."
Some of these things translate into everyday life. People are wondering about why their relative:

Smiles or smerks whenever the name Bart is mentioned.
Gets somewhat nervous around the topic of pies or gets zealous on demanding how their pizza is cut.
Disappears every Sunday evening to listen to music and laugh.
Mentions being "pages behind."
Uses odd words like "I bought this when I discovered it in the clickacy."
Fills the desktop with folders of pictures of cats, otters, assorted gifs and soundclips of a strange sounding lady
Uses radio terms in everyday conversation. "I wish I had a dump button so I didn't have to listen to your crap."
Promises to smite their enemies.

I think that propagating cat ladies by knitting, and being skittish around ghosts who are masturbating are the thoughts that show that the Ellgab brain weevil is munching away in my cranium. I worry I might mention them publicly.

Oh, thank you Tootsie. I am not a veteran. I volunteer as a committee person with my local Veterans’ Group. I believe that there are a few Veterans from the USA here in EllGab. My post was a tribute to those who had served in the Armed Services and /or who's families who had served.
