I served in the relative comfort of the cold war.  My toughest assignment was being a member of the Air Force bobsled team for 5 winters. I’m proud of my service but I have to tip my hat to those that had to deploy to combat.

Very brave in a sense that it is a particular fear of mine be speeding over ice. People would hate to be behind me on an icy road when I am traveling 30 in a 55 when the roads get the glazed donut look. I think I was in more danger from getting injured from being rear ended or someone's road rage than an actual accident.
