Bread stuffing.

Same. On a neighborhood group, a fellow transplant asked which restaurants serve bread stuffing around here and was told, "This is the South. We do cornbread."

Does the 3000 stand for 3000 milligrams? If so, we are into Linus Pauling territory. BTW, I think he was a sharp cookie.

I remember playing around the neighborhood and in general, as long as my parents knew approximately where we were and we were home before the street lights came on, it was good.

5 mile walk to school in the snow uphill both ways.

Nice avatar @Aquarius. Now how about you go pluck yourself and get into my oven!

Say BartEllProducer, I'll show a different kind of pluck and tell you that that invitation is just too hot for me to handle! But thanks anyway, and thank for the avatar compliment!  ;)

Yep 3000mgs of lemony vitamin C. I also take blueberry drops for vitamin B.

Show up with a chainsaw and a Turkey and say let’s eat!

Is Burger King open on Thanksgiving?

I am not 99 years old and I am not Jewish. However I live close by a Kosher bakery that open in 1919. They still bake amazing old country breads, bagels, pies, cookies and "butter cake".  My grandparents' generation learn to make dessert from stale breads and left over rice. Bread pudding and rice pudding still remains to be one of my favorites desserts. Brioche and/or Challah breads are great for making bread pudding.

Fish, you definitely do not have to be 99 years old and Jewish to use day old challah for bread pudding, LOL! There were many old-fashioned Jewish bakeries near where I grew up, so I know what you mean. Where I live now, there is one bakery that makes all their breads, cakes, pies, etc. the old fashioned way with real ingredients and no chemical stuff... and I have to stay away from them most of the time lest I indulge too often! <g> +1

5 mile walk to school in the snow uphill both ways.

Do you even get significant snow? Or is it one of those places where it doesn't even cover the ground but still causes school closings?

Sure, I only half a cake leftover since yesterday. Some weirdo has been eating my cake. The butter cake I have here is sometimes called Gooey Butter Cake

That's very strange. I wonder if the weirdo that has been knocking off my freshly-baked coconut macaroons is related to the one eating your cake? Do you think it's a band of marauding dessert-eaters that is invading the country for the holiday? I wonder...  8)

Oh, aside from homesickness, I feel fine. It's the Mr. who has been sick. Got germs from his trip last week >.<
