Do you mean the lightning bug question? Had I not lived in Ky when I was younger I would probably call them fireflies, but I know better to call them that. That question may have been the turning point in my overall assessment.

Yes a few of the questions are almost diagnostic.  In my case, the potato bug one.  Why this humble creature should divide our great nation so sharply is a mystery.

That's because it is called a pill bug.   ;D

Fireflies and lightning bugs are interchangeable for me.

Oh that is interesting -- I did not get a lightning bug question.  Which makes sense, since we don't have them.  I was referring to a potato/sow/pillbug question.  So the test must adjust based on your early answers for a finer focus.

Very interesting indeed. The machine subjected us to tertiary questions based on preliminary results of previous answers.

Never heard them called anything besides rolly pollies.

We have those here, mostly referred to as potato bugs. One property I lived at was infested with them. I had to move.

See what I mean?  Should we ever start bashing each other over regional differences, this could be our shibboleth.

Those ANIMALS ate Malliard!!!

OMG - That was funny!
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

I don’t know if we had them in Chicago but they are everywhere in Texas.

Oh you are quite off the map.  I don't know why the English always assert linguistic superiority; you'd think they invented the thing or something.
