I might be remembering wrong, but I think @Dwindling Stacks said at one point in time, she loved to cook.

EDIT: love the new avatar, Aquarius!

Thanks kindly Spookcat, thought I'd go for a different look! <g> +1 to you for having to be in Japan for Thanksgiving!

Weird hack I learned on the interwebs: brush your nails with a toothbrush and a little toothpaste. I was curious enough to try it. Works great! I think better than clear nail polish or a buffer. Honest!

Ooh, I like the sound of this! I will try it tomorrow, THANK YOU TL! +1

Maybe if you use an enamel strengthening toothpaste

Maybe, or if I use sensodyne I won't notice when they break

That's the Bart Duckie.   ;D

I love your Bart Duckie!  ;D

I have been known to order all kinds of mini-duckies from Oriental Trading Company and give them out at workshop I have taught to keep the mood lighter when there's a lot going on. The halloween ones are hilarious, and they have all kinds of devil duckies, other character duckies (someone gave me a Mozart duckie), both big and small. And they are really cheap, too.

Most of what they sell is junk, which is just perfect for what I need that kind of stuff for.

Doubtless the high and mighty quaff this very elixir while frolicking in their grove, leaving the Haut-Brion to peasants like us.

Sigh...I haven't quaffed elixir in a coon's age.   ;)

You'll at least be less sensitive about it

Ours didn't look like that, they didn't have legs sticking out from the side

PB, the ones I saw looked like the ones you saw, no legs on the side, rolled into a little ball when touched. We actually did not have a name for them, though a friend of mine called them doodlebugs. I don't know if that was a general term or one he made up.

Nice avatar!

Thanks! I'm thinking I'm going to go with a theme. Cats and their familiars

Thanks! I'm thinking I'm going to go with a theme. Cats and their familiars

A woman I knew in NYC who was known as a cat whisperer (helped people manage difficult cats, integrate cats into households with dogs, etc...) said people may think they "own" dogs but cats see us as their humans.  ;)

I like your theme!
