If you ever get a chance to check out an old Sears catalog, (pre 1965), look up the rifle section. My uncle bought me a single shot
.22 from sears. My son still has it. My brother swears up and down one could by a gun with S&H green stamps, altho I have yet to see any
evidence regarding that. Wouldn't surprise me...

They had a few Sears catalogs here at a place. Great stuff. You could order a whole house and just about anything desired. They sold pistols also.
