Honestly, I'm not the best person to do that, he's got plenty of good support here. I still think he needs to deal with his alcoholism and emotional issues around his fantasizing and idealizing and idolizing HW. I'm not saying any of this to be snarky or nasty, not meaning to be going after him. I am just not wanting to engage with him on any deeper levels here as it appears to me to be an endless closed loop for now.
I really do wish him the best, I hope he gets himself together so he stops retreating from his emotions into drinking, it's just not good for him in any way... especially if he has asthma. Alcohol turns to sugar and that can seriously compromise clear breathing. It's a bad combo, and if one is drinking and has an asthmatic episode and needs an inhaler or a medication for breathing of any kind, it's a potentially dangerous contraindication.
If you guys can give him support that he can actually take in, more power to you, and I hope he does.
