That's a real fucked up thing to say. As a young teen, I watched my father slap, choke and beat his wife, in front of their kids. An unemployed mother of 4 adolescents, in the early 1970's, did not have a lot of options.

yes i am, because my older sister used to get beat up by her husband for years and she just cried and never told anyone about it. every time we told her if we should call the cops she would say no. He even beat me, dragged me from my neck and choked me, i was 14. He was a strong and muscular.

I tried, but my sister told me to stay quiet and not say anything. and I was living with her, me and my ex were roomates with her. She begged me not to say anything cause she loved him. supposedly.

I think he is just stupid. He has seen someone get hit, and got beat up AT LEAST once, so now he thinks he knows everything. Maybe one day he can understand what can happen to women who leave an abusive relationship, the control that is held over them, especially when kids are involved.
