Yeah, people like to move to Texas from California (specifically Austin) because it is way cheaper. Although, perhaps not as cheap as it used to be. People who live in Austin area are Matthew McCaughey and Sandra Bullock.
I recall seeing her at SXSW years ago when she was with She & Him.
Yeah I see them quite a bit even though they split (I think). Matt is very low-key and his kids go to the local elementary (or used to I forget how old they are now.) Saw him in line to vote last election and he was cool with people wanting to take selfies with him. A friend of mine let him bum a dip in the pisser (of all places) at a UT game years ago. Seen her at Starbucks. Dennis Quaid used to be around but he split from the gal (a friend of a friend) he had married.
Too many people are moving here though and bringing with them their oddball California values and love of high-taxes, liberal agendas, and open-borders. Plus making traffic hell, property taxes to skyrocket, and turning Austin into Dallas in terms of culture with most of the old clubs, resturaunts, bars, etc closing and to make condos or California-style restaurants in their place.
Therein ends my "old Austin" and TMZ-esque rant.
