Paul and Ella are HW super fans, until the stars that look like the moon burns out. Yeah, I know, I am starting to sound like Ella.

Thank you Aquarius! I said it for the fine veterans on this page such as @damon @paladin1991  @Gunner65@GravitySucks and all of those who's (for Art) mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters have served!  Perhaps @Jedimiller  forgets that Art himself was in the Air Force.
Its only when we matured, we realized that you are the true heroes & legends behind all those stories we grew up listening. Thanking @damon , @paladin1991 , @GravitySucks , @Gunner65  and you, @Sergeant Major  for your Service.

I was taught anyone who has the balls to put on the uniform and do whats expected deserves respect.I have taught all my kids this. My son does Operation Christmas for the Veterans every year since he was 8. He does cans of cookies and candies and toiletries and books. He has so much pride when he is able to meet with them.

It is wonderful when you can meet them. A co-worker's nephew was in Iraq and we would send him huge boxes of stuff, plenty so he could share. Movies, books, snacks, cigars, along with items from a list of "what sort of stuff they need". That was really fun to do. After a few years he came to visit his Aunt and we got to meet him in person. It was excellent.

Thank God, that your son has a mom like you. You are both FABULOUS.

I would send "stuff" to my neighbor who was stationed in Iraq. It is fun to support our service men..  I sent over cd's of HBO's series of "Deadwood". Which was a hint! I sent over the largest bottle of Grey Goose vodka that I could buy. I did not think that one out.  Alcohol prohibition is enforced in many Muslim countries. I was told that the Grey Goose was poured out. This was a miss on my part. In gratitude, I was given an American flag that was flown over their Military base.

That is awesome!

I know one can donate to the various places that help them out, but it was much more fun to have the name of someone and some specific things they needed and send them right to them.

It was a gift that touched my heart. I still have it on display. I was advise to send more vodka but in a plastic mouthwash bottle with some blue or green food dye added. I found it funny that our service women and men liked watching "cowboys" and Calamity Jane while in Iraq.  End of my story. LOL.
