What do you do with them all once apart?
Fix 'em, replace parts they tell you not to, put 'em back together. But the key is I know what I know and I also know when NOT to mess around when a repair is above my paygrade <g>. I have experts I go to for the high-end repairs. I'd prefer to keep solid older equipment going if I can as long as it's pretty current in its capacities and functioning rather than participate in the disposable appliance and electronic equipment culture if possible. Within reason, of course. I hate that when the toaster oven burns out, for example, there is no choice but to dispose of it and buy a new one. Grrr.
Besides, it keeps me out of trouble I could easily get into otherwise. This way I can spend a few hours muttering to myself and talking to the disassembled parts and stay out of harm's way.
