A very good analogy!

Somewhat recoverable with children, less so adults - results not good in either event.

I'm not much of a Matlock fan, but Perry Mason is TV at it's finest.
Cool! I'm not in front of the TV much these days, but if I found it on my local cable channels, I just might DVD it...

Will have a watch ta!

Just sports talk, Cleveland Browns football circa 1984, but Pete was like a PR God for the casinos back in those days and beloved in what was then a small city of 100,000 residents.

Vara has confirmed that Liberace and K Rowland have computers...they are clearly both Bart Ell, who also clearly has a computer.

If he did, I don't remember it...

I think there were a few in which Perry lost but I don't think poor Hamilton ever "won" against Perry. I think the few Perry "lost" were later appealed or declared mistrial or done for some greater purpose to discover the truth? I used to think what kind of D.A. would still have a job after losing so many times until I started to see how LA's DA's do against celebrity clients!

Old Browns stadium. 92 or 93. Ice rain playing against the Houston Oilers. Browns won 17 - 10.
19 years old. The first game that I ever went to.
I'll never forget it!

Indeed. Someone that owns the rights should use  technology for good and somehow CGI Raymond Burr etc and make new episodes of Perry Mason (in B&W, of course.) Instead of producing the crap that is tv now or making yet another dinosaur picture.
Excellent idea! Like the new Abba "concert" they themselves are producing which will be all-virtual. No live performers, just holographic moving images of themselves singing their songs. Not kidding, google it and see for yourselves.

Maybe a thousand years ago I saw Abba live early on in their popularity at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, and honestly they were great, the crowd loved them. The only problem was it was nearly blinding between their blonde hair, white sparkly costumes, and extra bright super-trouper spotlights.

But a virtual performance? Feh. That one time was enough. <g>
