This is really good.
Yes it was, and please allow me to piggyback your equally insightful reply to note as much- well done Dyna!
I do want to add one point. The whole reason Art came back first on Sirius and then MITD was to attempt to screw over C2C, Premiere and Noory. I remember the relish with which he told the story during the first night back on Sirius. I also think for Art, as has been mentioned before it was the run up to launching the show, the interaction, the planning. The reality of it was less pleasant for him. I think very much the same was true for Heater. She took on a show that was brought about to fuck over another show, when the person with the sour grapes didn’t want to do it anymore. When he was gone she just didn’t want to do it anymore and probably hadn’t for a while, but Keith was there keeping her in check before Art’s death. With Gramps gone Heather rebelled, believed her emperors new clothes following and was blindsided by the likes of Lasha telling her she was more than she was.
Heather's crab pot swiftly
pulled her all the way back in and that is apparently that...
Heater took on a show that had no future because it was only ever meant to destroy.
Yabutt...Art still turned out some wicked good work and for a time so did Hoaxie before they both succumbed to (literally in Art's case) geriatric fatigue and loss of interest.
Call it podcasting ED if you will, lol...

I do want to also add that Keith has been clever, he’s turned it inside out and renewed it just enough, and Dave has pulled it far enough away from that to give it a freshness.
Probably a load of old bollocks, but thats my take on it.
Not at all, the arrival of Dave has been invigorating and also a welcome reset from what frankly was an over-long format proctored by a protege with clay feet.
The transition was a bitch, but the product is now solid and marketable.
I do feel sad for Heather, genuinely so.
Which I realize is like tossing fresh meat to haters like Sean.
If we lose sight of the human foibles and go all "Lord of the Flies" with hating her we diminish ourselves commensurately. She came in ill-mentored or prepared for what was to come and now sits stranded in a mobile home on a compound that allegedly shuns her. That's one harsh set of circumstances for someone who seemed so genuinely enamored of Art and his little universe in the desert.
As for for Vara - that pig has made his own stye and poking him in it is no sin, imho.
