It would be interesting to hear her explain why she wouldn't go but I wouldn't put much stock in any explanation she'd offer; it'd be as hollow as her last.  The real reason is transparently obvious:  she's a recluse and would be out of the nest of comfort she's spent a lot of time building for herself with Art as protector, where she is heir and queen.

People think recluses are shy, retiring types but in reality it's all about controlling your environment.  In her case, the weakest point, where the discontinuity between the illusory nest she's created for herself and reality clashes, is nightly on her show, so of course that has to go.
She did, she said on one of her "shows" that she couldn't look at Art's lifeless body, and she couldn't predict how she would act, and didn't want it to be all about her. But you would have had to hear the tone of voice to know how totally self-centered and inauthentic and dramatic "poor me, it's all about me" she sounded.

Then one day the whole site was taken down with no warning.  I don't think I'm going to miss the passive-aggressiveness
PaperBoy, is that you?  If so, one of the most tragic losses was when MV changed the attachment setting and all of your Jorch's Eye Pad cartoons were gone.  All that work, all those years, all those posts.  That was one of my top 3 favorite threads  :'(.  Gandalf had saved all the Jorch's Eye Pad posts and had them in a slide show on his site, but before I got around to copying it, his site was gone too.

Btw, did y'all know that 7-11 is Japanese owned? For real?

Yeah but Japan doesn't have Big Gulp...

...  Heather's attachment to all things Art contributed to both her brief spotlight in fame and her radio demise. He was an eternal flame catalyst, a  protective egrigore and 50-pound rusty anchor all at once.

Her attempt to use Art's style, music, voice, promos, etc. as a career gravity-assist maneuver was always unsettling, and ultimately, macabre.  Early on, when it became obvious Art's possible return was merely a disingenuous lure, many of us urged her to basically shut the show down, and reboot with something totally new, reflecting her own style, music, and interests.

Instead she doubled-down and further wrapped herself in his legacy, stepping into the role of carrier-of-the-torch, which was both a ridiculous overreach and also filled with all kinds of baggage that weighed the show down.  I think she may have had some success with her own podcast separate and apart from all that, but she seemed to have no interest in any suggestions that would pull away the perceived foundation that Art supposedly built for her.

Yeah but Japan doesn't have Big Gulp...
They don't even sell Tylenol at 7-11 in Japan, lots of premade sandwiches though... Aisles and aisles of packaged sandwiches, lunches and dinners...

Where was this posted? The fringe people are freaking out and angry, and are doxxing MV again. Lasha directly says MV did it and is Bart Ell, and has published his real name, company name, and location again. I thought HW was so furious at Dale for doxxing her? Don't they listed to their high priestess/goddess?

Honestly, they are committing acts in public on FB that are criminal offenses if someone wanted to pursue them. MV would have an even stronger case than HW theoretically would because he is not a public person, and did not give his address out to numerous "fans" like HW did, all to receive all those painted rocks and gifts.

Btw, does she have to return those now or not?
screenshots for those of us banned from there please? Would be highly appreciated

Wow, Dyna! Really thoughtful, excellent writing, thank you! I would up your karma again but I just did a few minutes ago and can't do it again so soon.

Thanks!  +1000

Anybody got a drone with a GoPro on it?

Yes agreed, a lamentable mistake.  Not just PB's classics but lots of other great attachments were lost which basically broke old posts that relied on them.  This happened to my favorite bg post of all time, involving a custom-made Noorie D&D character.  I still laugh about that one, wish I'd have saved the files.

Please be more discrete when alluding to any gravity assist.  Thank you.

Carry on.
Are we having fun yet?
