Found out today that my mother n law will be arriving tomorrow (Oct 29) and staying for five days. I'll be drinking and hangin in my mancave. Alone! They can deal with the little socialist cucks who come with their hands out uttering threats in order to get our candy.

A grueling, unpleasant (to say the least) weekend, starting Thursday.  I may just say fuck it, and not participate.

@PB It was just sprung on me like deciding on what kind of rice to have tonight.. It's just happening and she's on the fucking plane and heading west.   So yes, like you - I shall not participate.  I'm on strike.

I am a big fan of Halloween and used to decorate my 2 car garage for years as a haunted house with fog, black lights, giant spiders, mad scientist lab table, etc. The neighborhood loved it. My avatar for now is me in costume as Gene Simmons from KISS about 2 years ago. Make up takes me about an hour and the hair is a wig. Best reaction I've ever got from dressing up. Parents want a selfie and the UPS guys and cops give me the thumbs up on the way by Halloween night. I also give treats to the teens if they ring the bell. There just out for fun and some free candy so I don't turn them away. Hell, it's just candy and it's once a year.

At Halloween we have huge hoards of drunken college students in town, and I worry greatly about my friend Martin, the solid black feral cat who lives at one of the local restaurants.

That is so very awesome. Love the outfit. I was a teenage trick or treater. I could get away with it because I'm petite (same as short just sounds better).  Then as I got older I would volunteer to take my little brother and neighborhood kids. Not for the candy but the magic of Halloween trick or treating

I live in a super safe area for cats. But my kitties are already grounded and staying in until well after Halloween. Just so I feel better

@juan  Can they, the restaurant just keep Martin inside for the night? So he's feral but can't they do something?  I don't even know him and now I'm concerned.  Oh God, please don't tell me they're a Chinese restaurant!
