it is my understanding that over 90 percent of confirmed cases of infection recover. over 80 percent suffering mild symptoms. those that die from the infection seems to happen fairly soon after showing sever symptoms usually from complications from existing health issues.

i was taught to always have a few extra supplies just in case. not stockpile toilet tissue and purchase useless masks from Amazon. speculative reporting as news on media and the social media pipelines. loss of supply lines, power, transport, politicizing virion... guess they haven't looked at the numbers in the U.S. for this season of "the flu".

the swine flu killed up to 575 million (upper estimate) worldwide. there is always concern about a new flu, but most media coverage of COVID-19 makes it sound like something really is happening in Grover's Mill.

not to worry. i'm prepared for that too.

I read something today that said Sanders, Biden and Trump were going full steam ahead with their campaigns.  I guess that might change if the numbers of infected begin to double on a daily basis.

To me the hysteria surrounding this is way overblown, and getting ridiculous.

A serious country - and media - would be just as concerned about the illnesses and diseases coming over the southern border unchecked, and in our homeless camps.

The NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS are closing their locker rooms before and after the game to the media.

Fantastic news, and a policy they should make permanent.  Of all the things that have made sports unpleasant and unfun in my lifetime, No. 1 on the list isn't free agency, the cost of tickets/parking/food, the foolish rule changes, expansion, increasing the number of reg. season games, adding too many teams to the playoffs, or the amount of stupid sports talk filling cable and the airwaves - it's access to the players. 

What a bunch of arrogant dumb clods the players turned out to be.  It seems like heaven looking back now when the only time we heard from them was maybe a short interview with the star of the game that day
