There has been lots in the news here - the doctors can't order the test. They have to "request" the kit from the CDC. I don't think slowing down the entire process is a good idea. I'd prefer the doctors who can actually look at and evaluate the patient are the ones who should be able to get the test done as soon as possible.

OMG. Flashback. I was hitchhiking home for the weekend in 1973 near Huntsville, TX.  A hippie bus full of Jehovah’s Witnesses picked me up and told me how I needed to stay with them on their trek to Mexico because that comet was the end of civilization.  They weren’t going to let me off the bus. I had to put one of them in a chokehold before the driver agreed to pullover and let me out.

I thought so too, even seeing people in church and grocery stores with masks on.  I thought everyone was over-reacting.  So I Googled it and evidently our state is in a federal state of emergency per the governer. 

The first case was in Snohomish County, WA.  Well, buses and buses non-stop full of Asians drive to the Tulalip Outlet Mall in Marysville, WA (Snohomish County).  They come down from Vancouver, B.C.  So that could explain how 3 cases got to Snohomish County. 

Everything we purchase is from China.  How long does the virus last if a Chinese worker coughs on a blanket I buy?  Last time I bought an unopened cell phone, the manual had wet mucous on it.  And another product I bought had dried blood on it, new and in the wrapper.  What are they doing to Chinese employees that the employees go to work bleeding and sick and can't even go the restroom to blow their nose, wash their hands, put a flippin' bandage on, etc...  These are American companies.  They work the Chinese to death; we've all heard about it.  At least give them enough breaks so they don't blow their nose and wipe their sores on merchandise.

And they make our pet food in China at American factories.  Do they wear masks?  Hard to work wearing a mask, but...

One time I bought a very nice down comforter from a mall department store.  It looked perfectly new, no sign that it had been used before.  It must have been folded.  I left the package at home unopened while I went to work.

When I got home and opened the package, no sign of tampering but it was just a zipper bag.  There was fresh red blood all over the inside of the blanket.  Of course I didn't touch it and got a refund.

I imagine some person bled all over it and returned it and I must have bought it the same day.  i don't know what else it could be.  I can hardly imagine a rogue locksmith breaking into people's homes with vials of blood.  Well anyhow, it was from China, too.  I suppose if humidity and the plastic case were just right, it's plausible the blood may have been from the factory?

I’ve only done it a few times.  Once when I was in the Air Force I caught a hop on a KC-135 to Carswell AFB in Ft Worth. I was in uniform. It took me a few rides to get to I-45 but then a trucker picked me up and took me to a truckstop in Houston where my father picked me up.  I left my damn flight cap in his truck and had to sneak back onto to the base to get to the BX where I could buy another one before catching my hop back to Plattsburgh.

Other than that it was a shitty weekend. My father tossed me a bag of pot and left for the weekend. I spent Saturday walking around looking for my brother’s car because he got shit faced and left it in a ditch somewhere. I gave the pot to my sister. I didn’t find out until years later that the garage was filled with bundles of mexican weed. Never had a much of a clue that my dear old dad was a smuggler.
