That’s right.  I got the jump on that old fool Cavendish and took his pistol.  Now, your money or your life.

How do the cool kids say it? Hands up?
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

The article says the women were members of the Shawnee Mound Methodist Episcopal church.

The Midwest had literally thousands of pre-Columbian mounds, most of which were leveled for farmland.  Many remain, at least partially, the most well known being the Cahokia Mounds Archeological site (once the largest city in North America), and the Serpent Mound in Ohio (a huge effigy mound in the shape of a snake).

None of the mounds were built by the local Indian tribes living on the land when the settlers arrived, such as the Shawnee - they were the products of much more ancient cultures.
