Interesting character and never heard of him before.
He feels like a predecessor for Reid Fleming, world's toughest milkman.
Equally tempermental but Fleming has much more of a potty mouth.
Glad you like him, Bob. Everett and I go way back...as far back as World War One, in fact. When I was doing research for the 100 Years Ago thread on BellGab, I kept coming across him, for the years 1916, 17 and 18, the last three years of the war. (The last four months of the war were actually covered here on EllGab, in this very thread.) Some things I learned about Mr. True - Yes, he has a nasty temper, but it is usually people doing irritating things that make him go ballistic. He also 'takes action' whenever he sees children or animals being mistreated. The only person who can lower the boom on him and get away with it, is his wife.
