Wow.  That is bad.

Yes, that is bad, as bad as a night listening to Norry.

Sounds like UFO Phil...

Referring to "losing your mate" was really low. At least an homage to Ramona if referencing her at all.
Thanks for uploading, @Morgus.

I believe that line was referring to J.C..  Went something like:
J.C. spewing hate
That time he lost his mate

If you recall, J.C.'s wife (Edna?) left him for some guy on a motorcycle.  That's as I remember it anyway.

I must say I didn't hate the song, but of course my expectations were nill knowing who wrote it.  If this was a tribute to Art upon his retirement from Coast, I suppose I can understand its light-heartedness.  Can you imagine the song we would have gotten if Noory were trying to get sappy?

Not a bad idea, actually.  Maybe a contest among members here to write the perfect George Norry tribute song?

Does anyone remember who the BG member was who wrote the parody songs?  I'm pretty sure it was a woman, and she was very good.

I’d go with MV as the composer.

That would mean written in one minute or less

There once was a dunce named Noory
At best you could say he was boring
Thuh haters all knew
He sucked, it was true
And those tuned to his show were soon snoring

Sung to 'The Ballad of Sherman Oaks'

I hope everyone is getting their credit cards ready to buy tickets for the EAT AND GREET LUNCHEON with Dave Norry, Tommee, and some wrestler guy who will apparently tickle some bones.

Only if the wrestler were Hacksaw Jim Duggan and only if there was a reasonable chance of him laying the wood to Noory.

Is there a copy of the song on the internet somewhere?
I hope not.

Lol.

Thanks. That’s absurdly bad. Romper room style.

I do believe that’s the best George could do.  As sad as that is. We have seen Noory sing on YouTube. He actually sadly is trying to give a tribute with this song.
Well put.  Romper room exactly.

George was going for the rhyming - above all else - and 'drink' does rhyme with 'think' and 'pink'.
And stink!!!

Snorge is enough of a bonehead to think it’s a great tribute for Art.  He’s also enough of an ass to do it as a backhanded mockery of Art.
I don't know.  Snorge sounded a little wounded when tomatoes started rolling in that night.  I've sensed mockery many times, but not sure if it's not just awkwardy.  What would he hold against Art? He wouldn't have had his last 20 years that way if it weren't for Art.
