REMEMBERING SHAYP

One thing is not speculative is a percentage of people in any crowd will hear selectively. Isolated out of context it sounds worse than it is and those with a vivid imagination can be reactionary. You are right, we will never know intent without getting the caller's side of things and even then that would probably lead to more questions.
You're stupid.
Context is everything. A faint-hearted person suffering from selective hearing loss wandering in off the street and hearing her lamentations for the first time might have been moved to genuine concern. But for someone who reads here and has followed her story for any length of time, there was little to distinguish her remarks that night from her usual dirge.
What I am saying is less graphic. She probably said something she regretted and hit the dump button to keep it off the air.
I DID NOT CALL FOR WELLNESS CHECK, butwhen someone has dealt personally with suicide you do listen for possible signs.
Think about who her fans are.
As someone who listened live that night, the thought that she was an immediate danger to herself or others, certainly did not cross my mind for what it's worth, based on anything said.
I have dealt with suicide in my family, and yes, of course you listen. But that is not what was being said here. Feeling like you can't go on but you must is very common in various stages of grief. There was no intimation of intent to do harm to herself in anything she said here. Maybe other times, but not here. Just saying.
I didn't think she was in any way hinting at suicide that night. I think one of her 'great friends' called for a WELLNESS CHECK.Sometimes I feel sorry for her because she is obviously mentally ill, then she gets all egotistical and plays victim that I don't feel sorry for her. It's sad.
I agree - unless suicide by stupidity is a thing.
