I can still hear the teacher, "ASDF  JKL;"  "AAAAAAA, SSSSSSS, DDDDDD, FFFFFFF,   JJJJJJJ, KKKKKKK, LLLLLLL, ;;;;;;;"

Oh, and learning how to use the white out or white out paper.  Learning on a real typewriter is likely why I prefer keys that are a little heavier and make the clicking sound.

And typing those immortal sentences:
“Now is the time for all men to come to the aid of the country.”
And
“The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.”

Oh, now you've gone and done it. You mentioned the one fast food chain that presents a major personal ethics vs. hunger cravings dilemma for me.

I had never tried Chik-Fil-A until there was a big discussion about it in this thread maybe a year or more ago.

But I don't agree nor do I like some of their political choices, so I avoided eating there on principle.

But most of you raved. A lot! So one day I decided to try it at a location right near my dry cleaners.

Unfortunately for me, I really liked the chicken filet sandwich and even worse the curly fries. And their iced tea is really good, too! What a dilemma!

So I have allowed myself now and again to be compromised, and to enjoy eating there... but not too often.

And it's all your fault!  8) 8) +1

@Aquarius A bunch of uproar because the CEO donated to Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Salvation Army. Organizations deemed unsavory by the liberal cancel culture because of the donations to “rabidly anti-LGBTQ organizations”.

They were on the “radar” because the CEO in 2012 cane out against gay marriage.  Guess who else did in 2010. President Barack Obama.

Did you ever toss some change in the red kettle at Christmas?  If so, I hope you do again.

You can never be woke enough for this day and age.

I don’t eat there very often because they are always too crowded but their food sure is tasty.

As sick as it sounds, I actually liked typing class.  They call it something like keyboarding now.

Proud to call you the same!  As a Weapons Tech did you get to play with the nukes?

I helped decide which nukes got assigned to which targets. Joint Strategic Target Planning Staff at Offutt AFB. Glad we never actually launched any of the times we got erroneous launch detections.

I purchased some stuff from amazon.  I do not like Jeff Bezos nor do I agree with him politically.  I will flog myself tonight.  Dirty do I feel.  But not dirty enough to stop using amazon.

Me every time I purchase from amazon!

Reminds me of one of the old star trek episodes.  Sorry, thought it was the twilight zone at first then recalled it was star trek.

Half blackface?  Half a faux-pas?
The whole point of that episode was about racism.  It actually was two separate races who were at war with each other because one had white and black on one side and the other had white and black on the other.  They kept trying to kill each other and hated based on nothing other than their coloring.
