The bowl of the valley is a mess, water-wise.

My GVR neighborhood had unfinished drainage channels because a home developer went bankrupt down channel.

The series that shows what will happen if people disappeared from a city had a great one on Vegas.
Eh, nevermind...

Shit.

Pahrump floods?

I was in Des Moines during some of that late 80s, early 90s flooding...  Didn't mind volunteering during the crisis, lots of appreciative support and it was challenging... I'm just not wanting to live in a place that floods in my fifties and beyond...

Back to Montana, South Dakota or a red state as a choice.
Eh, nevermind...

A friend of mine went to Iowa. What about Iowa?

Iowa was actually nice. Ex-GF's family is there, I don't want to send mixed signals. Nice, utilities paid apartments for $650 a month in a nice area, eh, tempting. Maybe if a kid goes to U of Chicago for Masters...  Eh...

Iowa had a lot of rude and stupid though. No courtesy, bad drivers.

Eh, nevermind...

I bet my friend doesn't notice the rude and bad drivers being born and raised in Ca

Well, when I was there, I was amazed at how rude people were. When I lived in Vegas, people from places like Illinois (noticeable by Illinois license plates, license plate frames and stickers) where the worst on the freeways. They had to delay the implementation of metered traffic at the on-ramps. These idiots didn't know that you had to wait for a green light to get on the freeway...
