a double helping tonight - the first guest very rationally putting forth Intelligent Design as fact, of course Intelligent Design has been ripped apart by practically everyone, just a pseudo-scientific attempt to prove God exists. second guest also presents his 'work' interacting with people/entities from the AfterLife as verrrry scientific.
guests like these two are a sub-type of Coast characters - pseudo-normal people doing pseudo-science, they're pretty convincing if you don't remind yourself how ridiculous and/or unproven everything that comes out of their mouths is.
Noory really liked the first guest because as you know Noory often says he believes in Intelligent Design because 'the world is incredible, everything fits together, everything works, you have the sky which gives us water to survive, the ground that grows food.' Genius. But he can't hide his stupidity through an interview, the guest's entire book is his belief that God exists and can be explained, Noory asks him after an hour of this 'Do you think people just invented God because they didn't know much about things?' The guest should have responded 'Listen dumbass I just spent half an hour explaining t5o you how we know God exists and created everything in this world and now you flippantly ask if God is just an invention created by ancient people out of ignorance?'
