I was almost too late for my howdy from Bill. I was looking up the The V-22 Osprey. I saw one flying in the EllGab Garden.

Even more important for the Ellgab Garden is that my two fig trees have survived the last two nights where the temps down in the 30's.  Whew.

Ha!  Saw that.  He definitely was up to no good.  Looked like it was giving that victim the Whitley Strieber special.

Not too bad. At least here.  Have to cover them up with leaves and clippings in the winter and hope the temps don't ever get into the single digits.  Other than that give 'em lots of water, keep the Japanese Beetles from eating the leaves and the Mocking Birds from gobbling up the figs when the ripen.  Mocking birds seem to dig figs a whole bunch.  We have some pear trees that are much tougher - they get all kinds of weird diseases.

For years, I would grow hop plants. I had to cut down my plants due to the invasion of the Eastern Tent Caterpillars. Horrible and ugly creatures.

​It figures that the nazis would go there. very much into the occult. Mum's cousin was stationed at Celle Neues Rathaus in Germany during WW2 and saw weird stuff.
