Shipped another release of our product so as a reward the White Shoe Boys gave us the day off - freebee.   Was going to go to the state park but they are talking about storms and hail. So went to the ACE this morning and got a new valve cartridge for the drippy kitchen faucet and fixed that. I'm wanting to try one of these $1 Ribeye Steaks that they have down an the Family Dollar - they look pretty delish there on the banner but Mrs. Walks is objecting mightily. She's afraid that the dollar store is awash in virus [unlike the ACE where the vital Delta valve was obtained from] and that a $1 Ribeye [which may or may not be Beef] will rot my innards.  What say you thread?

Dollar Tree steaks! @Walks_At_Night   I've had those before.  It's been several years though.  That 3.5 ounces will be 2 after cooking them.  I think we're on the same wavelength.  I too went to ACE Hardware this morning.  You may or may not be familiar with the stores in my region, but there's a grocery chain called Giant Eagle.  Some have ACE inside them which I think is weird.  Nothing like getting some paint rollers, a pick axe, heavy cream, and eggs at one place!

Dollar Tree steaks! @Walks_At_Night   I've had those before.  It's been several years though.  That 3.5 ounces will be 2 after cooking them.  I think we're on the same wavelength.  I too went to ACE Hardware this morning.  You may or may not be familiar with the stores in my region, but there's a grocery chain called Giant Eagle.  Some have ACE inside them which I think is weird.  Nothing like getting some paint rollers, a pick axe, heavy cream, and eggs at one place! 

@ShayP  Not familiar with Giant Eagle but I'm familiar with the concept. When I lived up in the Upper Peninsula it was a Festival Foods/Tru Value combo.  Notice the Stihl sign.

3.5 oz ribeye??? From what?  A calf?  Wouldn’t that be called veal? 

$5 a pound. I don’t eat beef much anymore unless it is a special occasion and then I get a really thick porterhouse, ribeye or tenderloin so I can sear it and call it done. About twice a year I will splurge on waygu beef.
