I do not think this show was in the archive. it is the test show that most people did not like but it is interesting to hear knowing what we know now. Cheers.

I'm going to try and listen to this. It's good hearing his voice again and on something I have never heard but still do miss him some.

It's funny in the test show when Art is talking about how expensive music licensing is. Heather must have not been listening at that moment.

It's been a long time time since we had a good feral human podcast/show.

Maybe the Squatch report can handle this. So, any of you all a feral human? I could use a guest or two.

 :o

Haven't got to Heather yet. Uh....wait...she just showed up.

I'm kind of wondering here, just what am I supposed to be noticing about Heather's voice and am I supposed to be outraged by what ever?

It's not like I had any problem recognizing it. Her voice sounds a bit higher but nothing that really would matter, to me at least.

I just noticed it was higher...more feminine I suppose and the cadence of her voice was also different. I don't think you need to be outraged, I just noticed it first off and kept wondering if it would change more to what she sounds like now (or at least the last time I actually listened) and it didn't. Once, I noticed her speech pattern change to what I would consider her "normal". But what do I know? Just surprised me is all.
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

I thought she sounded pleasant and friendly before.  Now she sounds like she's trying to sound like Art.  It's offensive.

Granted, it's been years since I've heard either iteration of her voice.

One of my kids was like that...  Nice, courteous and well-mannered...  Until getting what he wanted.

I attributed that to the circle of entitled athlete teammates of his...

That shit ended.  I stopped giving him shit going 7 years on. He'll pay for that as long as I remember how much of a bastard he was for that 6 months.

With Heather, I'm sure she still thinks she's all that.  It's always everyone else's fault a la Falkie, etc...
Eh, nevermind...

Listening to an old classic this morning and had forgotten just how horrible and annoying some of the regular callers were back in the late 90s.

That fuckin' Fritz, from Phoenix. ugh ::)

I am currently listening to the station Art Bell worked for in the mid-70s, speculated to be about 1972 through 1978 or 79.

1320AM the former KUDE, now KKSM, a community college radio station...  better than any commercial music radio station I've listened to in a while.
Eh, nevermind...

Art Bell having great callers is a false memory many have.
There were about a dozen great calls and the rest were dumb shits saying dumb shit stuff.

Callers saying stuff that Art so loved to hear:

Can you hear me?
I wanna talk to Art Bell.
Hold on Art, I gotta turn my radio down.
I called you a few minutes ago Art and I got cut off so I'm calling back to...
Are you Art Bell?
Yes, I'm calling on a cell phone.
   Just to mention a few.

Art handled calls well.  Much better than Larry King in the early 90s.  I bet King had hearing problems then, but still...

Art toyed with stupid and evil people with equal skill.
Eh, nevermind...

I agree 100%.

The best part was afterwards Art would summarize the call and topic into something interesting.  But that was Art doing it, not the caller.
