Oh yeah @StarrMountain Ida took a visit to the Northeast. I live in Philadelphia PA. I received over 20 alerts that a tornado was heading to my neighborhood. I live in a home that was built in 1870's. A bedrock cellar, bricks, wood and wet walls. No sheet rock walls for me. After the tornado took a turn for Jersey, I took a photo of Ida clouds passing me by. God is Good.

Hurricanes scare me but earthquakes terrify me more. You can prepare for a Hurricane, but earthquakes are sneaky devils.

@FISH  You lean up against a wall near the center of your house, or crawl underneath a big piece of heavy furniture.  You would do well to make your way outside where it should be fairly safe so long as there are no tall buildings to fall on you, or downed powerlines that you definitely wouldn't want to step on.  I was in an earthquake once while at work.  My right foot was resting on a guard rail when all at once it started to move like jelly under my foot. That was the extent of it, there was no damage, though in another part of the state it caused a boulder to roll down a hill and kill a person that was driving by at the time.

I tried to get to a doorway, but the floor seemed to come and go which made that plan difficult to execute.

Thanks @Rikki Gins . Earthquakes are very rare in Philly. I have experience about two events. For me, the last time I felt the earth move was a few years ago. I was sitting in a chair with wheels in the nursing station. We all started to wheel around. I became so confused. And then it stopped.

We had the kind of tropical storm yesterday that I like - windy morning, a few minutes of rain, and sunny by noon. Thank you Mindy.
Merry Christmas

It’s rained every day for at least two months.  The weeds are very happy.
Merry Christmas
