How can one recall the first? Night shift work in the mid 90s was sporadic and distracting. I caught as much as I could when I could. One of the earliest shows I remember was with the caller who claimed to have shot a sasquatch dead to rights and was about to investigate the body. Art cut away to a commercial, something like this:

https://www.ispot.tv/ad/7e7j/zyppah-bongos

That is still one of the weirdest earworm commercials ever.

And by the way, he never did find the body.

I was in an apartment in North San Diego. Near the Sony and HP factories

Must have been 1993-94. (Northridge earthquake hit when I was there.)

Likely heard him on KFMB 760 BUT it might have been a Vegas station...

•Kid downstairs from me was killed playing on the freeway. His parents bought new furniture with the insurance money.
•Harry Nilsson died when I was living there.

Hold it...

I had to have heard him earlier... Drove through Vegas numerous times at night.
Eh, nevermind...

Yeah that most likely was the "Bugs" show. He and two other hunters shot a bigfoot in north Texas.
That commercial..  ugh

So you don't remember the topic, or show?

No, but I remember the lighting in the room, the direction I was facing (North), the layout of the room.

I likely listened to Art while driving the many times on the 15 North.

The confusion about the station might be because the local station was 760 am and, I believe that kdwn was 710 (no, I am not googling it).

At night time in San Diego, kdwn would come in. When I was in the Las Vegas area, kfmb would come in at night.
Eh, nevermind...

Mid/late 90s, guest was Jim Marrs plugging his book, "Alien Agenda."  I thought he was out of is mind.

Yeah, that's a good one. Definitely a classic, but I agree. Jim was more of a fear monger with an alien twist.

Not the first, but the first I really remember was Rodney.  His wife and her girlfriend were channeling spirits, and Rodney rigged up some of those electronic pest repellers to create a force field that captured one of the spirits.  The spirit was very angry, and Rodney wanted Art's advice on whether to release it.

1994 - I know what my first was now but did not know what the hell I was listening to when I first stumbled on it while flipping through the dial. Turns out it was the live broadcast the John Lear 94 appearance. Being that I was a UFO nerd, I was captivated at what I was hearing. Good thing I was "asked" to leave the bar that night a short time before.

That night came and went, and I forgot about what I listened to and failed to catch the name of the radio show at the time. Fast-forward to 1999 and I rediscovered the show on local AM radio one night when a replay of a Madman Marcum aired. Hooked I was from that point on.
