I contacted Tim regarding his comment, and we spoke for some time. Tim is (was) a direct relation to Anderson. He expressed to me that he does not regret posting the comment itself, only the phone number.
As a journalist, I am obligated to protect his identity as a source and assured him I would do so. I also promised to contact the owner of the blog on his behalf to either redact his personal information or remove the comment entirely. The owner complied with his request and removed the comment on 12-31-21.
I cannot disclose the details due to their sensitive nature, but I can say that Tim accuses David Anderson of serious wrongdoing involving a family matter.Tim did his best to track Anderson's whereabouts for all these years. I believe that this is likely the reason for his disappearance and continued secrecy for over twenty years.
I also contacted the offices of admissions/registrar at California State and the University of Minnesota. Both deny Anderson ever attended and received a degree.
Therefore, Anderson's claim that he earned a doctorate (Ph.D.) is a complete falsehood.
