Most times when I pull up to a 4 way stop, the only other car on the road will pull up in an opposing lane at exactly the same time.  It seems we always motion for each other to go first at the same time.

I think, and this is just supposition, so it may not be true.  the Metronsexual was in for observations at the asylum.  I could be wrong.
