I had to Google this one, I was under the impression that they were standard frets just more of them. I knew people who played microtonal but I never bothered to look. Then I see that microtonal players have frets all over the place.

I knew two microtonal fret players and one fretless guitar player. Since I talked To them and listened to recordings, I never watched them play!
