Well whatever it is, someone needs to get a grip. Doors falling off Boeings because they aren't screwed in. Airliners having close calls one after another, space capsule can't come back to earth, doctor removing some dudes liver, Toyota pickups with a 97% engine failure rate. It's like the DMV metastasized everywhere.
I can speak of one thing with some knowledge: Toyota.
Those engines were not designed because of some bright future facing idea with the Toyota Motors engineers. It is bcause the EPA no longer insists on higher miles per gallon, they are now trying to dictate tailpipe emissions.
Altering its long reliable engine design was the only way to keep this size of vehicle on the road and still attempt to tow something.
Tyrannical governments are in collusion, but I didn't say that here.
