Did Shatner ever get back to Heater after she responded to his tweet wishing condolences to the family after Art's death?
''I will carry on his tradition, Captain. You can count on me.''
She was somehow all prepared to step right in being the legacy. Before the deep, long-term grief set in.
My guess is that Shatner was expecting to reach someone from the Bell family. I didn't see anything from him after that (back in the April-May-ish time frame). I wouldn't be surprised if Shatner didn't know anything about Heater. Should have been a wakeup call for her, my theory is she went on a anger rant after she was getting no attention (starting with her Vulture outburst). Probably put her foot through the wall a few times when she realized Art died before she gained any popularity - she might even had spewed anger at Art for leaving before she was set (remember she was in no hurry to honor his memory). The "All About Me" girl would be focused on herself first. Sad thing: Was it grief for Art, or grief for herself over what could have been? She's a fruitcake for sure, so it's all speculation. Not showing up for his funeral makes me question grief vs. anger.
