Chihuahuas are intolerable pure.  (SoCal has an abundance of them). When mixed, the results are exponentially better.

I sense Bailey has a lot of pluses, other than his intimidating accent. 🙄

My dear departed Henry was, we thought, half Chihuahua and half fox terrier, I saw another dog that could have been his twin and his human knew the parent dogs for sure.

A while before he passed away, I did the DNA on him to find one parent was pure Chihuahua and the other was pure Pomeranian. My vet said if you throw water on a Pomeranian, they become a chihuahua... 

Anyway, a neighbor called him Mr. Machito and it fit. He swaggered and ruled the sidewalks on his walks. He sort of didn't know which half of him was more dominant, the chihuahua or the pomeranian! And he was very protective of me to be sure!

But he mostly had a very very sweet cuddly side and I adored him.

Yes.  You do.  That 's what most Betas need.  Is a good cry.  Then, when they have purged themselves of all the shit that others have dumped into them, they can stand up,  exorcised of other fuckers demons that they, the former Beta, has been forced to swallow.  They can stand up on their hind legs and roar, give that primal jungle scream that warns the predators that another Alpha is on the loose and that all predators better stay the fuck away, or they will be eaten.  Let everyone who can hear, that this new Alpha is hungry.  It's feeding time for the new Alpha.
