I have no spooky conclusion.  The information presented to us, and the claims made by the politicians, just don’t mesh well.  We’ve seen posters on this thread compare the covid vax to the polio and smallpox vaccines.  Clearly, the covid vaccinations are not that effective.  It would appear they may be more like the flu vaccines - effective against some strains and less so than others.  Then there’s the whole no symptoms business.
Merry Christmas - Nice things, and posts, are nicer than nasty things.

Not to mention the unpresented censorship.  It makes people mistrust everything they do hear.

The polio virus is transmitted through fecal matter entering the mouth.  Think about that the next time that you feel like eating ass.  The vaccine is very effective at producing antibodies in the intestines, which is where the poliovirus takes hold.  FUN FACT: the reason that polio is not completely eliminated globally (like smallpox) is because of anti-vaxxers in a few Muslim countries, who believe that the vaccine is a Western plot to sterilize Muslim men.  Those wacky Muslims!  Thank goodness that we're not like those primatives, eh?

Smallpox transmission is generally airborne, from aerosolized saliva or mucus from an infected person.  First mention of an inoculation process come from China in the 10th century, and the practice was widespread by the 16th century.  FUN FACT: The early Chinese method of inoculation was for the patient to snort powdered smallpox scabs.  Later, they would tear open a spot on your arm with a two-headed needle that turned into a large pus-filled blister that would dry up and fall off, leading to a scar on your upper arm.  Ask grandma to show you hers.

These two diseases have virus mutation rates that are a lot slower than COVID.  The only comparison between them and COVID I can think of would be that vaccines are essentially compulsory as a matter of public health policy, and COVID should be no exception.

It would appear they may be more like the flu vaccines - effective against some strains and less so than others.

It certainly seems to be playing out that way.  Which is a good reason why the "natural immunity" boner that PB is sporting is going to go unstroked.

Then there’s the whole no symptoms business.

I had no side effects to the vaccine -- none -- and I may have actually contracted COVID over the holiday season.  While those around me at the time have been falling left and right, I had one 24 hour period with the mildest possible sniffles and cough.  It was the next best thing to asymptomatic.  How did I get so lucky?  Who the fuck knows.  Medical stuff is almost as spooky as conspiracy theories.

23, 8, 5, "most."

Why so coy with that last number?  Is it because "15" would ruin the story?  Would "most" of the unvaxxed being sick also ruin the story?

In a rather weird and indirect way you're trying to give me your lottery numbers?  So far they look pretty good.

They divide the prize money amongst ALL the winners.  Do you want Senda elbowing his way into the prize pool?

Most of the polio contracted today is because of the vaccine

That doesn't surprise me.  They hit the same wall with smallpox. That's when the vaccine was withdrawn from general use. I wonder why they haven't done that with the polio vaccine?  Maybe the Muslims in the Stans want to have a rockin' good conspiracy theory, too. Why should the infidels have all the fun?  I mean, what else do they hsve?  9/11 was an Israeli Deep State operation?  BO-RING!!  So Millennial.

Also -the Smallpox vaccine offered sterilizing immunity, the polio one did not. Anyone who actually paid attention knew these vaccines were in the polio vaccine category from the start.

Rabbitholers were busy crying about this being the first vaccine that did not offer full immunity and how they had to change the definition in the dictionary... completely ignorant of the multiple others that worked in the same way.

As with all other epidemic prone diseases in the history of the world, vaccinations require 80% of the world to actually be smart enough to get them. It was always going to take time because, you know, rabbitholers.

NOBODY WAS TELLING US THAT A YEAR AGO, BARTASS!

They were, people were just too busy with those pesky rabbits...
Or they were like PB - raging at clouds and blaming others for his inability to educate himself via sources that do not sell you bug out bags and freeze dried food supplies.

Smallpox and Polio are human only diseases. Corona-chan just loves the animal kingdom and thus will probably will always be with us in some form. Too many Pangolin porkers out there picking up new mutations. Best case probably will be an influenza situation - live with it in good seasons and slog thru it in bad years.

Ever hear of milkmaids jerking off cows and getting that cowpox all over their hands?
