The bartender comes over and the guy reaches into his jacket and pulls out a little Baby Grand Piano and sets it on the bar.
He then reaches back into his jacket and to the amazement of the bartender, pulls out a tiny man, around a foot and a half tall, and places him on the bench for the piano.
The tiny man starts to play, and it's the most beautiful and amazing music the bartender's ever heard.
The bartender says "That's AMAZING! Where did you find him?!"
The man explains that he found a lamp with a Genie in it, and reaches into his jacket yet again, take the lamp and places it on the counter.
The bartender stares at it with wide open eyes, and finally asks "Would it be possible if I try it?!"
The man shrugs and agrees.
The bartender take the lamp and says "I won't be greedy", he then rubs it and says "Genie, I wish for a thousand bucks!"
There's a giant poof, and all of the sudden the bar is packed with ducks flying all over the place and quacking. Feathers are flying everywhere and the whole scene makes the bartender laugh.
The bartender says to the guy "Hey, I think your Genie is hard of hearing, I asked for a thousand bucks, and he gave me a thousand DUCKS!"
The guys looks at the bartender sadly and says "Yea I know. Do you really think I asked for an eighteen inch Pianist?!"

We used to go to this one specific boat ramp in the morning and evenings on the weekends if we didn't have anything else to do. It was on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware river. The things we saw.

That's clever! Only, I have seen an escalator where the stairs had inverted on themselves and created more of a slide situation. I've been having nightmares about them ever since!

Sounds fun if you're a kid. I've seen some recently, mostly in China of accidents of people getting stuck in them. Pretty scary. I remember thinking when I was really young that if you didn't jump off at the end and stayed standing, you'd be sucked in and come out the other end standing again.

Haha! I think that's common kid lore. Hell, I think even as a teenager, my friends and I would instinctively avoid that bottom interchange. Now you hear about people getting their pant hems caught in the gears and getting in some grim situations. In the last ten years, I've had reoccurring nightmares where the escalator is super steep and nearly flat and of course, there are no regular stairs to be seen! Yeah, I'm an adult and I have a relatively recent escalator phobia. :-[

I can't say I blame you. I wonder if has to do with the amount of information on the internet now? Were these things happening around us and we just didn't know when we were younger? Do you go on escalators a lot in your day to day?

I forget which airport it was at, but I came across a really steep escalator that was a few stories up and in the open, like nothing on either side of it and glass sides. Yeah, floating stairs sounds like a horror movie to me! The looking over a cliff, ugh, I probably would've passed out at that point. Luckily, I rarely come across escalators anymore. I usually see them in shopping centers, but avoid them like the plague now. Give me some solid stationary stairs anyday!

Haha.. Same here. I remember not thinking anything of it when you're a kid. Especially nursery rhymes. Into my teens I heard my Mom singing Rock a Bye Baby and listening to the words. I said "What in the world does that mean!? Have you ever paid attention to the words"? Cracks me up. And having read the real stories on a lot of those stories we heard are pretty insane. Most seem to have been made to scare the kids or warn them to listen.

There's a great podcast out there that covers these, it's called "Tales" from the Parcast Network. They're fairly new and that network has some other great shows also.
