For "Not much to share" it was pretty interesting. Thanks for the update, WAN. Btw did you try any of the alternatives to the vaccine like bleach or horse piss? I had the Federal shot and two boosters. Or was it three? Didn't kill me or turn me gay. Glad you survived and didn't lose your job. They must think highly of you

@sean92008   Really not much to share. I've been to the office physically twice since the flatten the curve deal.  Once to clean out my desk when they shut the building down and once for a big onsite meeting. Just don't get the interaction when not in the office, plus I've been assigned to a different group and work with Euro's - Brits and Irish mostly. I don't interact with them all that much.  Rumor has it that the White Shoe Boys will want us to go back in soon. They haven't pushed that much as the dirty little secret is that code jock productivity has skyrocketed.  I guess the state of North Carolina is pushing businesses though.  They lose so much tax revenue. Guys aren't eating out at lunch as much, buying as much gas, putting as many miles on cars so less parts, tires, repairs, etc.

A few things have happened.  Damn near got fired over the Vax - told them to stick Der Fuehrer's dictate up their ass.  It was a little tense for awhile but they caved and then spent the next year kissing my butt trying to smooth things over. I'll never forget though.  Had two long time co-workers pass. One caved in working late one night - his wife found him dead in the home office the next morning. At least he was home. Years back we had a guy die in his cube on a Friday. Nobody found him until Monday morning. Dying in the House of Pain is not optimal. The other guy went down with some sort of liver issue. Guy thought he had a gallstone issue but it wasn't. He was gone in 5 months. Not even 40. Pretty awful.

Methuselah is gone. In July of 2022 he just up and quit. The White Shoe Boys were busting his balls trying to get him to do something he had no interest in doing. "You have to do this!"  "No I don't. I'm done"  I believe he hired in about the time that Bruce Jenner was still a man and winning gold medals. Guess 45+ years was enough. He had a big party over at his palatial estate in Chapel Hill. Was a good time.  I'm almost the oldest guy now - rather scary.

About that time frame, Hillbilly Jim went to Vietnam and married that lady he was sweet on. Quite the wedding picture - she is about as big as his leg.  He decided that he hated the 'nam so he is waiting on immigration to clear and will bring her to NC. Don't know what he'll do if they force an office return. He sold his place here in the RTP area and retreated to his mountain lair.  His current MO is that she is there and he is here so he has continued on with his lust for life unabated.

Well, hell. I’m over at Falkie’s thread waiting for him to, uhhhh, DO something, and see this is where all the fun is!!

''It's a pandemic of the unvaccinated!''

That would have been an interesting saga to read as it played out.

Yeah, don't die on Friday night, wait for Monday morning.

Haha, perfect.

I love these videos... Same behavior  trying to avoid arrest.... It's like in a handbook.

PS I love the chapters in the description. Classic lines like:

1:16:36 "this isn't Burger King"
1:26:55 Paramedic had enough
1:33:47 ambulance refused to transport
1:37:48 "It's Mr. A$$hole"

Eh, nevermind...

Update:
Heard from Hillbilly Jim. All is well. Apparently he pulled out of Burning Man before the rain and virus outbreak. He said he was "entertaining" a methed up Cambodian escort in his Circus Circus lair and that he's rather busy and would fill me in later.

I think they just "carted off" a deader someplace - just like Senda's Mom.

I saw pigeons eating someone’s vomit.  I wish I could be there.
