Since they copy the Japanese in pretty much everything, they do have ice cream and it might taste like beer, green tea or, if you're lucky, it might be sweet.

It seems to me that Japanese ice cream is sort of a combination of sherbet and American style ice cream that comes in weird flavors.  Don't much like it.  Maybe the Koreans will improve on it.

They're very competitive.  Sitting on a Korean airlines flight to Japan, they often will play videos about their superiority over traditional Japanese ways.

It was comical.
