Agreed. What's awful is that he'll ask a question that's completely not in order because the guest is just shocked by it. There was a female guest on and he just blurted a name out. Initially she said no or didn't know him or something because it was so fucking far out of the blue. I don't know why people go on that show anymore. I guess there's nothing else really. Even then, with no competition, people must think twice about it if they ever listened to the show.
Thing is, I've been trying to listen to Red Eye Radio and they often sound like a couple of hens. I know that they're not using direct news sources, but have some research assistant who makes notes for them. They are difficult to stomach, but much better than George..
Yeah I've noted this, happens all the time, because he's lazy and his mental faculties are on the decline, he wasn't smart to begin with. Last night his first guest was a former Hollywood stuntman who's now a 'ghost hunter' with a TV series on somewhere named 'Hollywood Ghost Hunters'. So early on in the interview the guest made it clear he's older and he's been out of the stunt business for quite a while. So as the interview went on with the guest describing hauntings etc there were the usual dead spots Noory is responsible for, and I could sense him looking down at his sheet and out would come one of his non-sequitur questions 'What's new in Hollywood these days?' Guest is caught off guard 'Do you mean with ghosts or the movie industry George?' 'Well the movie industry how's it going?' The guest tells him things are a lot different for various reasons and it's become harder and in his opinion the product is worse. Noory replies 'That's what I have been hearing.'
Hearing from who you loser? Billy Mumy? Pat Boone? Next awkward moment after more ghost talk another out of context question 'Who is the nicest person you worked with in Hollywood?' Guest says Chuck Norris and Greg Evigan, so now I know the guest has to be 75-ish since Greg Evigan starred in a silly TV show when I was a kid, BJ and the Bear, 'Bear' was a chimpanzee.
Then after another lull he asks the guest 'Did you know Jay North the little boy who played Dennis the Menace in the TV show?' WTF? The guest says no but he remembers the show from his youth.
