Are you using an unshielded cable?

Other than a crappy sound card possibility, most of this little 1/8 to 1/8 connectors are not shielded. They are the side by side type wires. At least that is a little easier to troubleshoot.

Yeah, that what comes out of two of the computers.  My music computer connects out of a Focusrite audio box.  I need to listen there through headphones and see if the noise is there.  I hear the noise without any of the synths turned on.

Hmm. I wish I could help but I am unfamiliar with your setup. You may have to unhook everything and back engineer if you haven't already tried that. Wish I could be more help. I didn't think you were going to ask me this one.

At least you don’t say thrown them in the trash.  I have 50-60000 patches for the Kurzweils. As a famous musician once said, sound chasing never ends.
