No. But I get why others like them.  I got bit by the Les Paul bug at 13 when I got my first one. That was it. Les Paul dude forever. FACT: I had and wore a top hat on stage two years before anyone ever heard of a Slash or GnR. I still have a picture.  GnR burst on the scene and that ruined the top hat and Les Paul thing for me.

I used do guitar restoration and modifications to distribute them through schools.

One of the little things I liked to do was change out the ceramic bar magnet and steel pole pieces with alnico poles (you would be amazed at how much an affinity strat improves with those pole pieces and nothing else changed except maybe the strings. Those ceramic magnets are quite useful, I have them all over my toolbox, even inside the engine compartment of a couple of my cars. I use them to hold things.

Since they are somewhat brittle, I can break them into pieces and stretch their functionality. And no, none of them are on my refrigerator.

His old bass player had a brother in a really fun group called The Virginia City Revival. Fortunately, I appreciate J-Priest but I don't dork out over them.

I'm sure he's left the area by now, it's been a long time... The bigger of a star, the shorter they last here. Even Mike Love has moved out of the area.
